Wed Me in June!

June is not traditionally known for the month of love, but it is definitely the most popular month for weddings galore. Recently, I have had a few friends get married and several friends who are now preparing for their up and coming nuptials. Surprisingly, these events have reignited my imagination to think of what “my” perfect wedding would be like, if given another shot at wedding bliss.

Who knows if I will ever get married again, (I have no doubt that love will one day find its way back to me again) but until that time comes, I will continue to smile and feel illustrious as I dream about my Tiffany & Co 2.5 carat solitaire diamond ring, flanked by baguettes; my silk white chiffon Monique Lhuillier gown; my ceremony on the beach in the Hamptons, and last but not least, a tall hot cup of a dark chocolate mocha man that will one day be waiting to receive me at the end of the isle!.  Hey, you never know...dreams do come true!
Tifany & Co brilliant round solitaire diamond engagement ring with tapered baguettes on the side, and a beautiful shared-setting band ring. $48,000  www.tiffany.com Budget tip: Searching the internet is a great way to find reasonable prices to help you choose the right diamond.  Just remember that the five C's (cut, color, clarity, carat, and certification) are the most important characteristics of buy a diamond. www.bluenile.com
I can really see myself in the gorgeous Monique Lhuillier chiffon bridal gown from her Fall 2011 collection.  How stunning is this?!  $3,500- $5,000 http://www.moniquelhuillier.com/     Budget Tip: You can find this designer, as well as other gowns by selected designer on sale or at a very good discount price on Ebay. www.ebay.com
This is an actual photo of a ceremony set-up on the beach in the Hampton (Long Island, NY). Budget Tip: If you are on a budget and want to have a location wedding, for example in the Bahamas, you can find some beautiful places that are affordable in price during off season time.
Dream wedding cake! Simple, modern, and stunning, just how I love it!  The color combinations of white, black and the touch of red in the roses brings elegance and sophistication to this decadent creation.  Budget tip:  This cake is so simple, that you can probably make it yourself! So why not try it by baking round or square sheets, spread cream frosting on them when cooled, then sprinkle grated white chocolate all around the cakes to hid imperfections, which after you can tie a satin ribbon around each tier, and top it off with rose petels? Voila la!

I used this photo, of famous male model Tyson Beckford, to represent my tall  hot cup of a dark chocolate mocha man as my dream groom.  Of course, this is just an example and not  expected to be a reality, but ladies...come on...you get my point, right? Oh yeah!  Budget tip:  Find your own man! LOL
